04:11 Min
China has poured cold water on US President Donald Trump's comments, talking up the prospects of a deal to end their trade war. Beijing has refuted the American leader's assertion that the two sides are involved in active negotiations over tariffs. Meanwhile, South Korea is looking to navigate its way out of a 25 per cent tariff imposed by the US. Acting President Han Duck Soo says his government will do its best to find a win-win solution in trade talks with Washington. He made the remarks at the National Assembly, where he also urged lawmakers to quickly approve an extra budget, amid global trade uncertainties. CNA's Lim Yun Suk has more.
