02:16 Min

Around 700 workers and tenants in Bedok Central will undergo tuberculosis screening from May 4 to 7, after 13 genetically linked cases were identified across three clusters. The Communicable Diseases Agency said the cases, detected between 2023 and February, are tied to locations including Heartbeat@Bedok and a nearby food centre. Authorities say the risk to the public remains low, but free testing will be extended to frequent visitors. Singapore recorded 1,019 TB cases in 2025. Noah Kong reports.
