Budget 2026 debate: Gabriel Lam on intentional resilience to secure future together
The global environment will remain structurally uncertain and in such a world, resilience must be intentional, said MP Gabriel Lam. Speaking in parliament on Thursday (Feb 26), he highlighted three foundations that will determine whether Singaporeans can truly secure their future together. These are a workforce that can outrun disruption, structural assurance for families and a Singapore Spirit strong enough to withstand fragmentation. He said when these three reinforce one another, Singapore would withstand uncertainty and “secure our future together”.
