Committee of Supply 2025 debate, Day 7: Hany Soh on promoting historical and cultural heritage, access to the arts among young children
In parliament on Monday (Mar 10), MP Hany Soh asked for the progress of the National Heritage Board’s (NHB) Heritage Trails programme in uncovering more untold stories about the historical and cultural heritage of the respective neighbourhoods. She called on the NHB to add the upcoming Fuchun Community Club as a new marker to the Woodlands Heritage Trail as its predecessor was Singapore’s first rural community centre. She also asked the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth to do more to expose Singapore's young children to the arts. She suggested that age limits for the SG Culture Pass could be lowered or for vendors under the scheme to offer waivers for children who attend arts programmes with adults.
