New app gets more accurate screening results for jaundice in infants
Getting more accurate readings of possible jaundice in newborns without having to leave home. An app is being developed which also targets Asian babies' skin tones. Results of the pilot's first phase are promising - close to 550 babies were screened using the app and compared with blood tests. Developers of the app say it did not miss a single case of significant jaundice. Rachel Teng reports.
