Singapore, Japan deepen cooperation with new strategic partnership

Singapore and Japan have elevated their relationship to a strategic partnership, expanding cooperation across trade, technology, energy and defence. The move was announced as Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong met his Japanese counterpart Sanae Takaichi during his first official visit to Japan, marking 60 years of diplomatic relations.
