Singapore opens new overseas enterprise centre in Austin to help firms expand in US
Deputy Prime Minister Gan Kim Yong says Singapore and the US enjoy a long-standing and trusted partnership, calling it a source of strength in a more uncertain world. He adds that this gives firms confidence to invest, enables both economies to grow and lays a strong foundation for long-term prosperity. He was speaking at the opening of Singapore’s newest overseas enterprise centre in Texas — its fourth centre in the US and the first outside coastal cities. Texas is already home to nearly 60 Singapore companies. Ivy Chok reports.
