US-China developments a positive step, but one on a longer journey: Vivian Balakrishnan

Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan says recent developments between the US and China are a positive step towards a more stable relationship, though challenges remain. Speaking at the end of his five-day visit to Northeast Asia, he also shared observations from North Korea, including Pyongyang’s hardened stance against reunification with South Korea and its focus on self-reliance and military deterrence.
