'We're a Malay troupe, you okay or not?'

For around 20 years, Mr Jamsairi "Bobby" Kamaruddin has been leading Kuo Chuan Arts & Cultural, a lion dance troupe whose members are mostly Malay. His fascination with lion dance began when he was eight, but starting his own troupe came with challenges. Today, his troupe performs for customers across different communities, with some returning year after year.
